SANDUSKY, O., Feb. 15 Because he said he could not pass a black cat on Friday a stranger- stopped la George Bishop's saloon,' far front of which sat Bishop's cat a freak with six toes on each foot and highly valued by the owner. The stranger bought a drink and when he left the man took the cat with him. He boarded a street car with the feline. The police were called and gave chase, but the stranger left on a Lake Erie Western train before the police reached the depot Then an effort was made to stop the man in Fremont' but the police there failed to land the fellow. ' ' Bishop presumes that the man took the eat along ia order to obviate the necessity of -paaaing it as he -left his refreshment place,- and be is even generous gen-erous enough , to think that .the man may. send his cat back. - , ( |
