Snape family celebrates brother's 50th anniversary in Springfield, Missouri A lifetime of memories was shared by the original James and Viva Snape family, as they all journeyed to Springfield, Mo. to help celebrate a brother's 50th wedding anniversary. Traveling from Lehi, sisters Lila Evans and Vera Peck joined the group. All members of the Snape family were born in American Fork and several of them completed their schooling before the family moved to Salt Lake City in 1934. It is quite remarkable all brothers and sisters are living and were able to join together for the event. The family ages range from 58 to 80. The oldest family member, Al, and his wife, Elsa, were honored in Springfield with a family dinner on Aug. 20 and an open house on Sunday, Aug. 21, where many friends and neighbors joined the group. Al's children traveled from New York and Pennsylvania to participate in the event. The family enjoyed visiting, going to the movies and shopping.
