Having been deserted by his owners, for five day3 had proved faithful by staying on" the trail of the wild cat waiting for some ono to come 1 up. Hunger finally drove the dog back to civilization, and the faithful animal ' IH could hardly walk when it reached the ranch, where it was taken into tho house and cared for. After several house of careful feeding and rest, Bine Dan felt as good as ever and .became uneasy and had to be tied up. When Hansing arrived, the dog could not be kept quiet and wanted to take to the hills again, where it had evidently left the cat treed. It also, dovelopod that Whitney's Blow, another fox hound, which had been lost last Sunday at McCoy's stables when the party returned, had re-traced re-traced the tracks of Messrs. Hansing and John F. Boes to McNeil's ranch tM and then returned lo the home of Han- sing on Ninth East below Tenth- South tM |
