Show Provo News Notes. Special to Tho Tribune. PROVO, March 27. Tho trustees of tho various school boards of tho county met hero todny with County Superintendent Superin-tendent Childs presiding. After a discussion dis-cussion by thoso prosent, a resolution was unanimously ndoptod that it bo tho sonso of tho meeting that trustees consult con-sult with tho superintendent of schools and principals in tho employment of teachers. Superintendent Orson Ryan of tho Wasatch, county schools was present. pres-ent. Sanitation and care of school properly prop-erly was tho subject taken up during the aftornoon. Grovor Montaguo of Payson, twonty-ono twonty-ono years of age, was operated on at tho Provo general hospital Friday for hornia. Tho operation was successful, and tho young man is getting along nicely. Judge Warren N. Dusonberry of Salt Lako was in Provo today on legal business. busi-ness. The committees on electric lights and water works, accompanied by Mayor Decker and tho city surveyor, mado a trip up Provo canyon and over Provo bench today, to investigate tho water situation, w'ith tho object in view of improving im-proving tho water works system, and tho feasibility of tho city building and operating an electric lighting S3'stem. Their conclusions will bo reported to the city council at tho next regular meeting. |
