Ho was convicted in tho Third District court and sentenced January Jan-uary 8.3909. Tho board comumtcd tho sentence of Robert W. Matlock, convicted of burglary bur-glary in the second degree, in the Second Sec-ond District court of Webor county and sentenced to ono 5'ear in tho state prison, to expire March 29. Tho sentence of E. A. Brown, serving serv-ing two yonrs in tho state prison for burglary, was commuted to expire April 30 next. Ho was convicted in the Ffth District, court of Box Elder co'unuy and sentenced July 6, 190S, to two years in the state prison. " Tho applications for pardon of W. D. Penlock, serving one j-ear for burglary, bur-glary, and Lewis M. Lockhart, serving serv-ing eighteen months for grand larcen3', were denied. Tho application for pardon par-don of Albert Whitaker, serving twenty 3'cars for assault with intent to commit com-mit murder, was continued sixty days. A parole was granted Leo " Camp, convicted of a statutory crime, in tho Second District court of Weber county aud sentenced June 11. 1907, to three years in ythe state prison. The following applications of sentence wero denied: James O 'Council, serving three years for grand larceny; F. H. Stone, serving two years for burglary; Charles E.
