' For a number of years after EI their marriage, they lived at Payson, while Mr. Packard Id worked as a mine foreman in iv?, the Tintic area. ill The family moved to Springville Spring-ville in 1910 and Mr. Packard m began the operation of a large in, farm west of town. He passed away April 6, 1947. Mra. Packard maintains her . 0Wn home and does much of lier own housework. She enjoys en-joys visiting with her family OlJ'and friends and continues to 5Ilshow a keen interest in events Bpf the day. a Until the past several years, she was active in club work and also in church work, especially es-pecially in Relief Society. Mrs. Packard is the mother of Mrs. George D. Clyde, wife Df the former governor, who were here for the birthday dinner din-ner as were the following oth-r oth-r members of the family, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth (Fay) Gott-fredson Gott-fredson of Logan; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur (Jessie) Condie and Mr. and Mrs. Max Packard of Springville; Mr. and Mrs. Rex Packard of Beaver; and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Straw of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Packard also, has 21 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren. |
