Show - - j . - Armon Whiting ARMON WHITING PASSES; SERVICES SCHEDULED FRIDAY Clarence Armon Whiting, 55, died in a Milford hospital on Tuesday, Jan. 3, after a lingering linger-ing illness. Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted at 2 p .m. Friday, Jan. 6, in the Milford LDS Chapel, under direction of Bishop E. C. Edwards. Mr. Whiting was born Dec. 29, 1911, in Mapleton, to Clarence Clar-ence Othello and Azua Peterson Peter-son Whiting. He married Si-donia Si-donia H. Anderson, June 30, 1937, in the Manti Temple. He attended the Manti schools and Snow College at Ephraim. He owned and operated a service station before accepting accept-ing employment as operator of the Manti City power plant. In November, 1952, he moved to Milford to accept employment employ-ment with Telluride Power Co., and in November, 1960, was named manager of the Milford District. After UP&L acquired the Telluride company, Mr. Whiting was appointed district representative. He was an active member of the LDS Church, and had filled Stake missions in South Sanpete and Beaver Stakes. He was a past president of the Quorum of Seventies, and was financial clerk for the Milford First Ward. He was a member of the Milford Lions Club, and of the Milford Valley Memorial Hospital Board. Surviving are 'his widow; a son, Ray P. Whiting, and three grandchildren, all of Milford; the following borthers and sisters: sis-ters: Dee Whiting, Salt Lake; Ben Earl Whiting, Pleasant Grove; Loraine Whiting, Clearfield; Clear-field; Roger Whiting, Provo; Jesse Whiting, Orem; Mrs. Earel (Helen) Hall, Hurricane; Shirley Whiting, Linden, and Mrs. Oris (Nelma) Hansen, Roy. Friends may call at the Southern Sou-thern Utah Mortuary from 7 to 9 p. m. Thursday evening, and Friday prior to services; also at the Manti South Ward Chapel Friday evening, and from 11 to 1 o'clock Saturday. Burial will be in the Manti City Cemetery Saturday afternoon. |
