Wyoming is rich in coal, iron and oil, and has a fair sprinkling of gold and silver. Vast herds of cattle anil immense flocks of sheep roam over its plains and hills. It has a great variety va-riety of resources, and in their development develop-ment magnificent opportunities for the profitable investment of capital are afforded. af-forded. Wyoming is growing rapidly. Its pioneers were brave, energetic men of Stirling character, and tho new inhabitants in-habitants are people of culture refinement, refine-ment, and enterprise. Its population is made up of a most acceptable class. Tho building of railroads during the last two years has d alio much towards developing Wyoming. The great Burlington Bur-lington road has entered the territory, making ils termiTius at Cheyenne, the Cheyenne & Northern has been built northward from Cheyeuno for a distance dis-tance of over a hundred miles', the Chicago & Northwestern has penetrated almost to the interior, the Paciiic Short Line will soon cross the territory, and the Union Pacilic is doing all it can to build up Cheyenne, the beautiful capital cap-ital city. New towns are springing up everywhere, and general prosperity prevails. Wyoming euters the union under the most favorable auspices, and that it will develop into a magnificent state there is no doubt. We congratulate congratu-late the people of the territory upon their admission to the great sisterhood of states. |
