Vic'Ksbuisg, Miss., June 28 Frank C, Kearney, who was convicted of the murder of Joseph Fossett, jr., several months since, was brought into court today aud sentenced bv Judge J. D. Gilland to' be hanged Thursday, August 7, 181)0. Tho counsel for the prisoner filed exceptions and gave immediate notice of their intention to take an ap- peal to the supremo court, which does not meet until October. If the supreme court affirms the sentence, another day will have to be set for the execution.
