Speeuil.J Tho pope has now under consideration the subject of a quarrel between the Hungarian Hun-garian government aud the Catholic episcopate of that country. Tho law ou mixed marriages provides that tho sons shall follow the father's religion aud the daughters that of the mother. A decreo recently issued by tho government govern-ment directs the priests who baptize tho childreu of mixed marriages to notify tho fact to tho clergymen of the other creed. This the Protestant clergymen are willing to do but the Catholic priests refuse to comply with tho order.
