Show HIGH SCHOOL NOTES Maurine Riggs, Reporter The Blue & White staff members have been successful in getting their first edition ready to be published Friday. Two main features of the paper will be the prize Christmas story and poem. The story and poem contest was sponsored last week and it proved to be a great success. Twenty-four stories and eight poems were handed in. They were judged by Miss Dixon, Mr. Britsch and Don Christensen. Christen-sen. Mazie Myrup wrote the prize-winning prize-winning story, "One Upon a Christmas," Christ-mas," and Iral Despain the poem, "Christmas." A special assembly was called to announce the winners and award them their prizes. The students are exultant because of their victory over Richfield Friday night. The Alumni fellows also played a snappy game with the Salina C.C.C. boys, which was also a victory for Gunnison. The next game, this coming com-ing Friday night, holds great interest for the students. Can we keep up our record and win from Monroe? It is the hope of the students. The Gunnison Gunni-son M Men are playing the Mayfield M Men also, which will be another interesting in-teresting feature of the evening. The games will be followed by a dance. Friday ends the school activities for this year. A good assembly and matinee ma-tinee dance will be given. This begins the holiday activities. |
