Show Valley Schools Have Christmas Vacation The schools of Gunnison and the entire en-tire valley will close Friday night for the Christmas and New Year holidays, and sessions will not be resumed until Tuesday, January 2nd, thus giving1 all students and faculty members brief relief from the work at the schools. Many of the teachers residing out-of-town will also be afforded a good period per-iod for visiting home-folks. That the students may enjoy programs pro-grams arranged for the different grades, Friday afternoon will be devoted de-voted to this feature. At the high school the Waconda club and the seniors sen-iors will join together in a pre-celebra-tion. At the closing period an appropriate' approp-riate' Christmas program will be given. Friday evening two fast basketball games will be staged as an added feature. fea-ture. The first game will be between the Alumni of Gunnison and the M Men of Mayfield. This game should be a fast one. The second and big feature fea-ture game will be when the Bulldogs encounter the Monroe team. At the Washington grade school the several classes will have individual Christmas trees, on ! which will be hung presents which will be exchanged. exchang-ed. Christmas programs have also been prepared by the several grades. At the Lincoln school at Centerfield, similar arrangements have been prepared, pre-pared, and the pre-Christmas festival will, no doubt, be a joyful event for the students. |
