Show j LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST Mr. and Mrs. Claud Allred of Salina, Sal-ina, were called to Gunnison Wednesday Wednes-day on account of the death of Clifton Tolle.itrup, their son-in-law. Leo Kenney, who has been stationed station-ed at Moab, with Camp PE-211, spent a fi'W day here visiting with his family. lie returned to his work Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Win. C. Ol.sen of Mt. Pleasant, were dinner guest3 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hart Sanders at Spearmint Sunday. Ira Overfelt and the Misses Lois and Helen Overfelt, members of Ivy Chapter, No. 10, O. E. S., motored to Mt. Pleasant Monday evening to attend at-tend the annual installation of new officers for the lodge. The ceremonies were preceded by a six o'clock dinner. Earl Arnold, who spent the- past two months at Los Angeles, has returned re-turned to his home at Spearmint. He was accompanied by his sister, Miss Marjorie Arnold. The latter had been visiting with her aunt, Mrs. Frank Kirby, f ince August. Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Baxter motored to l'rovo Sunday and returning the same day they were accompanied by Mrs. Maria Breinholt. The latter plans to spend the winter here as the guest of he.r daughter, Mrs. Lyda Duggins. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Beckstead left for Sat Lake Tuesday. Mr. Beckstead, junior partner at the A & B store, will complete his- studies at the University Uni-versity of Utah, and he and his wife expect to be absent about three months. Miss Jeanette Harris came down from Suit Lake City Saturday and spent the week-end with her brother, Tom Harris, office manager for the Gunnison Sugar company. Miss Harris was accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Ned Warnock. |
