Show Thursday, April 13, 2006 SPRINGVILLE HERALD 19 Big Fraud Alleged Over Little TV Screens An arrest warrant has been issued for a Dallas financial advisor ad-visor for allegedly bilking Utahns in a scheme that promised big investment returns re-turns from small advertising monitors. Attorney General Mark Shurtleff and Department Depart-ment of Commerce Executive Director Francine A. Giani also announced that felony charges have been filed against 51-year-old Curtis Clifton Sneed of Sneed Financial Services in Dallas. According to the criminal complaint, Sneed personally guaranteed a 16.2 return on vno risk" investments in LCD screens called Ad Toppers. He said each screen would be placed in a high traffic area and generate $54 each month from advertisers. Art exhibit at county gallery The' Utah County Art Board presents an exhibit of art by Sharon Cannon and Ferrell Bailey in the Utah County Gallery, in the Utah County Health and Justice Building at 151 S, University Ave., Provo, through April 28. The exhibit is open during dur-ing regular building hours, Mon.-Fri. 8 to 5, and is free to the public. A reception to meet the artists takes place Friday, Apr. 7, 6 to 8 p.m. The public is invited. -"v. Sharon Cannon lives in Eagle Ea-gle Mountain. She obtained a Masteris Degree from BYU and taught art at Orem Jr. High. She now teaches in her home. She paints in wa-tercolor wa-tercolor the things she loves: beaches, landscapes, children chil-dren and animals. Ferrell Bailey lives and teaches art in Tooele. His ed-k ed-k ucation was in commercial art and technical illustration. He paints in watercolor and oil, trying to capture the changing effects of nature. His exhibit titled "Expressions "Expres-sions of Nature," includes landscapes painted outdoors in Tooele and the West. He tries to capture the mood of the moment in his paintings. The Utah County Art Board is a non-profit organization organi-zation sponsored by Utah County to present monthly exhibits in the Utah County Gallery.
