Twenty-six 7th-10th graders have been competing in a basketball clinic at Uintah High School under the direction direc-tion of head varsity coach Gary-Weight. Gary-Weight. "We started out working on fundamentals such as dribbling, passing, pass-ing, shooting, and rebounding. We have been also working on individual and team defenses. We have been going go-ing over man to man rules and basically basical-ly we spent the first hour on fundamentals walking them through ball handling, passing, dribbling and shooting drills," remarked Weight. Weight added. "We put a little offense of-fense in the Thursday portion of the clinic. We worked on some of the same offenses and options we use on the Uintah Uin-tah basketball team. Next week we will take some of the basketball players to the College of Eastern Utah Basketball camp in Price. Some of the athletes who will take part in the camp are Lee Schultz. Daren Anderson. Eric Morrow, Warren Williams, Devin Southam. Larry Bartlett, Todd Mulville. Eric Mulville. Andy Mulville. Kenny Mohar, Brett McKeachnie and Valton Mortenson. The camp will be for 7th through 10th graders." Vernal Junior High basketball coach, Craig Monsen. helped Weight with the clinic, which began Monday and will end on Friday. "The clinic has been going really good and the athletes have been working pretty good." A number of Uintah High School 1 1th and 12th grade basketballers attended attend-ed a basketball camp at the College of Eastern Utah last week in Price.
