Illinois, and Salt Iike as well as Vernal. These were from a pattern Molhe made herself to knit into the sweaters. "A friend of mine in I-is Vegas knew how to knit, and she showed me bow," said Mrs. Stockton. All eight of her grandchildren have sweaters she has made for them with all but one choosing w hat they wanted to have on their sweater. She has also made sw eaters for her grandsons and grandsons in law. "I have one more to make after this one," she said. Last year Mollie made 13 sweaters. So far this year she has made five. "Well. I always liked knitting." she said "I don't do much but knit " Mrs. Stockton said she thinks the first thing she knitted was probably a hot pad. She has progressed from hot pads to sweaters, and even baby clothes. Mrs. Stockton knits the pattern she wants on the sweater as she goes along Her friend from Las Vegas not only showed her how to make the sweaters but how to put the design in them, loo. Most of the patterns Molhe uses are the Mary Maxium patterns. She said she has used almost all of the patterns they put out. "I crochet too. but I'd rather knit." said Mrs. Stockton. She also does machine embroidery. "1 like all kinds of hand crafts," she said. In October Mollie will have lived in Vernal for live years.
