Show How to Keep Potatoes. Potatoes that are to be kept ; should be scattered over the barn floor or in some out-house wheie I there is plenty of circulation of ! fresh air. They may be piled three I feet thick, and if there is a good ! circulation they will dry fast i enough. They may even be washed ! in this way by throwing pails of water over them, and this is much better than to let the mud cling to ! them. The potatoes need this dry- ing place before being stored away ; for the winter. They should be j kept in such a cool, well-ventilated j place until in no danger of being in-j in-j jurcd by the frost. Then they can j be stored away permanently for the winter. |
