Show A. O. U. W. On Friday night last a small but select meeting of the above named order was held in this town. An endeavor is to be made to found a lodge in Brigham. There is no reason why a large , and permanent organization can- not bo formed here. The advan-, advan-, tages of the order are manifold both financially and socially. The society has steadily made way and prospered in all parts of the Union, until it numbers 205,000, picked : men, of the best classes of society. Politics and religion are subjects on which it docs not touch. ''Charity, Hope and Protection" is its motto.! The widow and the orphan havo its care and regard. The order is very conservative in its collection collec-tion of members and its in- (tuence is very marked in every community where found. A meeting will be 'held in the Court House on Wednesday. Dec. '2nd. All who arc anxious to know of the workings ol the organization are invited. Ladies are especially asked to attend. Many pronlinent gentlemen of Ogden will be present and will speak on the subject. CoMMU-NICATlcn. |
