Show A PICTURE WITH A LESSON. An Old Man ofAhout Seventy Maklug a Fool of Hi mlf. Monday, an old man with long flowing, gray beard, but drunk as a fool, was seen trying to ride a horse down Main street. Instead of guiding guid-ing his horse by the bridle reins, he grasped the halter-strap, with which he vainly attempted to direct di-rect the poor animal. The nonplused non-plused horse dashed off through the ditches against the shade trees; he was then jerked about-face, when he struck across the road, grazing a building and dashing up against a fence. The rider reeled from side to side, the spectators expecting every moment to see hira hurled to the ground and probably killed by the fall. The last seen of the old inebriate, in-ebriate, he was trying to find a broad street leading out of town. |
