Davenport of this -city: ".William Davenport Barm the 28th day.otMay, 1837, at Brampton, near Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England. Died November 5, 1911, at Parowan, of paralysis. Emigrated to America when a boy 12 yeara old , and came ito J?arowan in the fall i of 1852. jHas resided here ever since. Held the offices of Justice of the Peacq, School Trutsee, ' County Cleric awid jProbate Judge at different tames. Was a pioneer of Panguiteh; ihauled the first house logs there. .Was called to go across thejUains after the1 emigrants of 1862 .and 1864, in the last of which foenvas As-j sistant Captain to Wsx. S. A very sad death was that of Mrs. Ada Davenport, wife of Thos. Davenport, tit this place, which occurred Nov.. 5th. She was of a kind, loving nature, and was well respected by all, and. will be sadly missed by her husband, her relatives and many friends. |
