Show -a. i Price TJendency Upward Kansaf;ity Stock Yards, Nov. 10, iii. Cattle received here thii rweek 65,500. Since j Monday middle class short fed, including the great army of warned up cattle, have met with some reverses, and they are i closing the week 10 to 25 lower than Monday, Upper grades are all right, and seem to be in no danger, though buyers say that not a gratwany prime cattle are neidfryet. Range beef is more popular this week, various packing house buyers confidentially confiden-tially asking permission to get "first" on incoming stuff from distant territory, particularly on beef steers from Colorado. A three bar drove from Meeker, sold yesterday at $5.75, and old steers from the narrow guage country tyrought $6.00 and $7,00 first of the Nek. Receipts here from Colorado are very short this ceason, for two reasons, first a shortage at lowing points, ' and second, the activity of Pacific Coast buyers. In dealing with the latter, owners are entreated en-treated to keep in close touch with the market here, as the tendency of price is upward, and sellers on the range cannot afford to dispose of their cattle on last weekjs or last month's market basis. Commission men look for an uneven market on short fed cattle for thirty days, expecting good supplies of same. Country buying continues on a liberal basis, and while prices are firm, ancU.as high as any time this fall, they are still regarded re-garded as reasonable. A good supply of well bred range stuff is coming, stockers selling at lings at $5.60, weighing700.
