Show Sugar House, Utah Thursday, January 3, 1957 SOUTH EAST INDEPENDENT Page 5 East Mill Creek Jaycettes Will Tour Home Center The East Mill Creek Jaycettes will meet Thursday, January 10th at 8 p.m. to make a tour of the Sterling Sill Home Living Center at the University. In charge of the program will be Mrs. Ernest Korgenski. Mrs. Kenneth B. Evans is presi-dent of the group. Following the tour of the center informal get-togethe- rs by members are tentatively planned. The Utah National Guard Band will play during the ceremony and ushers will be from the Guard's, 625th Military Police Company. Also through the medium of letters received from Nauvoo, we learned that Wm. Smith and Geo. J. Adams were gathering on one side and John E. Page in conjunction with Strang on the other, while Orson Hyde advocating the cause of truth in favor of the Church, has bap-tized Luke Johnson who has gone east for his family, intending to join the Camp of Israel. L. Marcus Jensens' Entertain For Holiday Season Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. Marcus Jensen, Thursday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Riggs Gardner and Dr. and Mrs. Dolowitz and family. A social evening and holiday re-freshments were enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. L. Marcus Jensen, 1540 Millcreek Way, were hosts to the Saturday Night Dinner Club, at their home, for a holiday dinner and party. Following the dinner games were the diversion of the evening, and gifts were exchanged. Study Club Feted At Ambassador Club The Ambassador Club provided the setting for the Study Group dinner party Saturday evening. Immediately following the festiv-ities at the club the group assembled at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney M. Horman for a social evening. Gifts were exchanged. Carol Jensen Hostess At Teen Party Miss Carol Jensen entertained a group of eight Thursday evening at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. Marcus Jensen. The young people enjoyed games and dancing and the hostess served refreshments. Holiday Programs The Bryan Ward Sunday School presented an impressive program both in the chapel and in the Junior Sunday School division, Sunday. The programs consisted of musical numbers and readings in keeping with the Christmas spirit. The Junior students, under the direction of Mrs. Luella Ander. son and Mrs. Ruby Plouzek, pre-sented the program in the Junior Sunday School. NEW BABY-NE-W HOUSE A new daughter for Mr. and Mrs. Merlin D. Symes, 2337 East 3395 South St. is speeding up building procedures on a new home near 36th East St and 39th South Street. Their baby, born Decem-ber 26th will be able to move in and get acquainted with sister, Christine, and brothers, Scot and Craig, before the family moves in March to their new home. Mother is the former LaVon Roberts and grandparents (who think the name, Shelley, just fits their newest grandchild) are Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Roberts of 2337 East 3395 South St. and Mr. and Mrs. D. R.
