Show Maytield Doings. (Special Correspondence.) Maytield, Jan. 12 Mrs. Louis Gregerson entertained the J. S. club at her home Wednesday evening of last week. A reading was given by Mrs. Oliver Nielson 'and a delightful delight-ful evening was spent in needle-craft. needle-craft. Light ref reshments were served serv-ed at ten thirty, the hostess being assisted by her daughter Miss Vera Gregerson. Mis Alta Scow delightfully entertained enter-tained at a candy-pull last Friday evening. A number of friends were i present and the affair was given in honor of Miss Lillian Jacobsen, who left for her home in Emery county Sunday morning. Miss Tressie Jensen, who has been spending the holidays with her par-I par-I ents, Mr. and Mrs. James Jensen, has returned to Ephraim where she is a student of the Snow Normal college. The Misses Dora and Rhoda Anderson An-derson are visiting with their sister, Mrs. Andrew Nielson at Centerfield. The Pioneer class of Mayfield enjoyed en-joyed a trip to the Gunnison Valley Sugar factory last Friday. Miss Lillian Christensen has gone to Ephraim where she will attend the Snow Normal college. Mr. and Mrs. P. S. Beal, who have been here for the past two months left for their home in Emery county ' last Sunday morning. The new pool hall, owned by Mes-sres. Mes-sres. Conrad and Clarence Scow, is now open to the public. Miss Ruby Hansen of Ephraim, j has been the guest of friends here I for several days past. Mrs. Clarence Scow entertained i last Saturday n"ight iu honor of Mr. j and Mrs. P. S. Beal. Miss Anna Hansen and Joe Han- sen. delightfully entertained at a : New Year's party the early part of I last week. Some thirty guests were present and a delightful time was enjoyed en-joyed by those present. At a late hour delicious refreshments were served. Elwood Anderson, who has been confined to his homo is reported to be improving and is now able to be up and about. |
