She was born Nov. 10, 1917 in Lehi to George C. and Alice Lauper Phillips. She was the youngest of 18 children and still live in the home in which she grew up. She received her education in Lehi and graduated from Lehi High School. They were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Nov. 12, 1947. Byron was born to Ephriam and Sarah Dastrup of Payson. Erika is the daughter of Julius and Pauline Binder of Ulm, Germany. Byron worked for Provo City Power and did maintenance at the LDS Missionary Training Center He has served in his LDS Bishopric, the High Priests, and in scouting. He quarter barbershop enjoys singing. Erika has served in scouting, the Sunday School and Primary organizations. They have 10 children: Konallee Freestone of New and was stationed at many bases throughout the United States and she was able to travel with him part of the time before he was called overseas. From her youth she loved music and singing and was able to share that talent all through her life. She taught school in her early married years and in Alpine later in life. She has been active in the LDS Church, serving in ward and stake callings. She served an LDS Temple mission in the Paulette Thompson of California; Jeanette Jensen, Peter Dastrup, and Pennie Pia, all of Provo; Julianne Goss, Eric Dastrup, Carl Dastrup, and Chris Dastrup all of Lehi; of Helewell and Betsy Farmington. Her children are: Reed and Sandra Robinson, Mesa, Ariz.; Paul and Marilyn Robinson, American Fork; Phillip and Mesa, Arizona Temple. She served in Utah County Mrs. Miller wed American Fork native, Elden Jay Miller, on June 14, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They have three daughters: Ann (Mrs. John E.) Miller, Orem; Nancy (Mrs. Richard C.) and Park Moore, City; Rosemary Miller, Salt Lake City, and a stepdaughter, Jackie (Mrs. Varlan) Clark, Lehi. Mr. Miller passed away Dec. 20, 1990.
