Show OBITUARY. Callahan. Earnest sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Callahan in their grief over the death of their baby daughter. The little one was buried last Sunday from the parents' home on B street. She was a winsome, tender ten-der little flower, with all the sweetness and beauty of babyhood, a bright, beautiful baby, but not too sweet for the angel ,'land, where her little while soul is safe forever in the tender care of God an'i'His Blessed Mother. Loughlln. Mrs. Ellen F. Loughlin, formerly a resident of Salt Lake, and for many years connected with charity and correction cor-rection work in New York City, died in Los Angeles on Tuesday last. The funeral occurred in this city Saturday morning at St. Mary's cathedral at 10 o'clock. Rev. Father Ryan officiated, celebrating requiem high mass and preaching the funeral sermon, which was a beautiful tribute to the life and character of the deceased. The iloral offerings were .the most exquisite ever seen in the Cathedral. The sympathy of many friends is extended to the bereaved be-reaved daughters, Mrs. J. C. Hanchett and Miss Ellen Loughlin, In their great bereavement. The deceased was a woman of splendid character, a loving mother, a kind friend and the highest type of Catholic womanhood. The music mu-sic was rendered by the quartette from the Catholic choir, with Mrs. C. Hamer the soloist Her edifying death was a fitting close to a holy. Christian, well-ordered well-ordered life. May her pure soul rest In peace! Smith. The sincere sympathy of many friends is extended to the relatives of Miss Bessiej Smith, who died last week after a lingering illness. The deceased was a charging girl of a sunny, winsome win-some nature, which, with a child-like Simplicity, made her loved by all. Gentle Gen-tle and lovable, this gentle soul seemed to be sent to the world for a short space of life to raliate happiness and scatter sunshine to her dear ones until un-til God .mercifully took her from all pain and suffering fortver to eternal happiness. It was a cruel blow to her mother and other relatives when her young life closed. Their sorrow is great and the tenderest love and sympathy sym-pathy of all is extended to them. They have the consolation of knowing that every comfort was given their dear one. The funeral took place from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Ho-doon, Ho-doon, Mrs. Hodson being a sister of the deceased. |
