Show HARD JOLT FOR ART. Her daily life was compounded of two passions, a real one for dress and all that pertained to that art, and a fictitious fic-titious one of an avowed adoration of nature. And how closely the one was entwined with the other was shown by her description of a particularly gorgeous gor-geous sunset in which she told about the colors of the sky, the shadows over the houses in the foreground and the river. "And in the middle of it all," she ended triumphantly, "was a band of gauzy clouds, jusf like a pink, chiffon chif-fon veil." j |
