Victor Keele and Miss Edna Sorenson I of Emery secured a license to wed last Tuesday and Judge R.C. The greater part of tie compressed air drilling outfit for use in Straight Canyon together with nine tents and a large amount of other stuff was brought from Price yesterday for use by the road force in the canyon. The shipment ship-ment came from Deeth, Nevada, where the forest service has just completed some road work. State Road Agent Killpack and County Surveyor Faddis, with a force of men, are busy putting in the big bridges over Ivie and Queatchuppah creeks on this end of the Emery Salina auto road. With a little moisture now te pack the newly-graded road out of Emery one of the best roads in the state will be in tip top shape, and prepared pre-pared for the eastern traffic to the Grand Canyon. Paul Hering, the A-l broncho rider seen here on the 4lh in some good, live stuff, treated a few of the Dale's population popu-lation to a sort of a pre-24th exhibition last Thursday when he rode Vern Peter- . son's white mare. The animal was in fine shape and showed off for several minutes but without ruffling Hering at all notwithstanding the fact that he had but one foot in the stirrup at the j height of the fur. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jensen returned Sunday from a visit in Mt. Pleasant. They were accompanied home by Mr. Jensen's father, S. E. Jensen (the sugar beet booster) tind the latter's younger daughter and son, who will visit here for some time. Mr. Jensen reports the crops here as looking fine compared with those elsewhere and boasts that his trial beet crop cannot be excelled anywhere in Utah or Idaho.
