Show oo SALOON EMPLOYEE DIES AT LODGINGS Salt Lake, Dec. 1. W. T. Murphy, 6o years of age, who was employed in saloons In Salt Lake for the last few years, died in his room at the Volunteers of America rooming house, East First South street, yesterday. At 10:30 o'clock last night roomers in the hotel wero apprehonsive that death might have taken place, for nobody no-body say Murphy since he retired on the previous night. A. G. Coutts and F. B. Draper, living at the house, battered bat-tered down the door and discovered Murphy lying dead upon the bed. Death is believed to have taken place about twelve hours prior to the discovery. dis-covery. Murphy is said to have been a resident resi-dent of Salt Lake for many years. Ho was unmarried and he is not believed to have any relatives living in the city. Patrolman C. P. Patten was called following tho discovery. He took chnrgo of the body pending Dr.-W S Keytlng's making an examination" to determine the causo of death, which Is believed to havo been due to heart trouble. |
