Bathing suit weather has just arrived and everyone wants to look their best. Liposuction is not for weight reduction but it works very well on areas that have been resistant to diet and exercise: abdomen, hips, thighs, chin or upper arms. The tumescent liposuction techniques involves injecting an anesthetic solution to make the surgical area tumescent, or swollen. This allows the surgeon to more selectively and carefully remove fat resulting in more rapid recovery and better sculpting. Next, I have experienced a significant increase in breast enhancement surgeries as summer approaches including mastopexies, A . more commonly called breast hits. Many women simply require a lifting of their existing tissue and repositioning of the areolar complex (nipple region) to restore the shape from their youth or prior to pregnancy. Uplifts are frequently accompanied by an augmentation to restore or enhance the size. In addition to wearing less clothing and more bathing suits, many women wear less make-u- p as spring rolls into summer and the condition of their skin becomes critical. We have our own skin care line custom designed for the needs of plastic surgery patients. The program I recommend is the BioMedic skin care program made up of varying percentages of glycolic acids to aid in achieving a smoother complexion and a healthier, more youthful skin glow. Carla, our aesthetician is available for skin care evaluations or call Wyn Shry to schedule a plastic surgery consultation. Dr.W Smell the coffee ! A monk, even smarter, who is said to have observed the dancing and prancing, picked a few berries and brought them back to his monaster)' for studying. One experiment involved grinding and boiling the berry powder. The recipe was then passed from monastery to monastery until it reached the outside world. From there coffee came directly to the young herd gathered in front of Durango's Steaming Bean on Main Avenue. Mickey Hogan, owner of Hogans Store, 828 Main Ave. in Durango, recalls his Irish parents drinking it with lots of cream. Hogan rebelled and took his black That's how I learned to drink it at C.U. We couldnt keep cream and sugar around," he sax's. Hogan says he may not know what brand hes drinking, but at 5 to 7 cups a day and a couple more at night, he drinks enough to know when its not been made recently. He is part of a coffee group that has evolved from the 50s. The group migrated from Parsons Drug Store to Plaza Pharmacy, where a pot is readied every morning.
