Vance Larson, Director of Bands at Snow College, was the judge. Three straight superior ratings were earned by the Monticello sixth grade band, the Monticello eighth grade band, and the San Juan eighth grade band. The award for best mannered band went to the San Juan eighth grade. The Monticello sixth grade was named the best beginning band, with the Whitehorse seventh grade? band second. The Monticello seventh grade band was named the best second year band, followed by the Whitehorse eighth grade band and Ephraim seventh grade band.
