OCR Text Pat Scorches Alleys To Set New High Series Record MEN'S -SPRING LEAGUE Wednesday night, March 9, our Spring League got off the ground with a roar. Bill's Texaco, defending champs, took three from Yardley's Insurance, R J. Excell Co. took three from Harry's Conoco, and Phillips 66 took three from an as yet unsponsored team. High man for the evening was Pat Dix with a 231 game and a 608 series. Ernie Wright, a league new-comer, had a 207 game, and Kent Mclnelly's 202 and Ike LeFevre's 201 rounded out this quartet of 200's. We are still in need of bowlers and one more sponsor, Anyone interested please contact League Secretary, Pat Dlx. LADIES LEAGUE The ladies bowling league for the week of March 10th had Donna Hubbard with high game of 168, Nida Mae Jensen with 157, Colleen Orton 154, and Irene Cooper with 153. High series was Donna Hubbard, 437, Nida Mae Jensen, 411, LaVenda Moore, 393. The standings are: Panguitch Drug. 41;; Cameron Motel, G9V4; Panguitch Bowl, 334; Flying M, 32; State Bank, 30; Tebbs Jewelry, 23. MIXED LEAGUE Saturday night, March 5th, was a real "Barn Burner" on the lanes as we had three 200 or better games rolled during the evening. Ike LeFevre led with a 209, followed by Kent Mclnelly with 207, and Pat Dlx 201. LaVenda Moore had a 189. In the league standings, Panguitch Bowl moved into first place by dropping R. J. Excell Co., three out of four. Phillips 66 knocked Mobil out of tiie top spot by winning 3, and Sue tightened their grip on 4th by kuocking of the Flying M Cafe three out of four.
