Show Panguitch Industrial Corp. Formed, Directors Named After months of planning and struggle, the Panguitch Industrial Corporation became an actual fact. Saturday, March 12, saw the corporation formed when a body of incorporators met at the Panguitch Social Hall. Although only 53 of the more than 110 persons who Invested funds as incorporators were present, a bulk of the money raised was represented. A board of directors was elected to further the corporation's a-vowed purpose of bringing industries into Panguitch. Mr. Keith Winegar, president, and Mr. George Hibler, vice-president, of Intermount-uin Oil Co. of Woods Cross, were present at the meeting. One of the first projects of the Panguitch Industrial Corporation is to help the Inter-mountain Oil people bring a major oil refining plant into town. Another proposition o n which the corporation is working is that which would have a lumber-molding mill located here. Dick Lee and Bob Dodds, formerly of Panguitch, are a-mong the backers of this industry. Raising of further funds, obtaining sites for the plants and other matters will occupy the time of the directors and the officers which they will select. Directors elected at Saturday's meeting are: Vee Foy, Jay A. Rlggs and LeGrande Farnsworth, who acted as trustees during the fund-raising campaign, and D. F. Houston, Clem Church, Dr. Wallace G. Lee, and Vernon L. Holman. |
