Show Hatch NEVA LOWDER Ward conference was held Sunday evening with President Vernon L. Holman presiding. Other Stake leaders present in-eluded Scott Smith, Joseph Foy, Arthur Gottfredson, John Crofts, Bruce Hronek, Mr West-wood, Jean Gottfredson and Mrs. Chldester. Speakers were Howard Prince, Leland Riggs, Bishop Layton Barney, Mrs. Chidester and Scott Smith. The male chorus sang a number. A meeting of the Stake and the Ward leaders was held before conference. D.U.P. meeting was held on Thursday at the home of Ard-is Evans. The lesson "Early Mediums of Exchange" was given by Velma Huntington. Refreshments were served by Ardis. County leaders present were Ruby Myers, Ina Thompson, Alta Talbot and Bell Boyter. Karl Lowder spent the weekend home, Saturday the Lpwd-crs visited in Cedar. Sunday the Wilford Lowders of Spring-ville visited them. Thursday Mrs. Lynn Evans was in town. She visited the Delin Crofts in Panguitch and Gwen accompanied her to Cedar on business. Mr. and Mrs. Evans spent the weekend here. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Evans of Pleasant Grove visited the Bob Evans family Saturday, the Bob Evans' visited in Cannonville on "Sunday. Mrs. Duncan Findlay of Kanab visited the T. H. Sawyers Sunday. v Mr. and Mrs. Garth Heap and the Ronald Sawyers attended a wedding reception Saturday at Glenwood for Mr. and Mrs. Michael Horton. Sunday the Heaps visited in Cedar City with the Wallace Heaps. The Ronald Sawyers of Cedar visited here part of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Orlas Riggs reported that their son Jerry of St. George underwent an emergency appendectomy in Richfield a few weeks ago, they visited him there. He was released and returned to St. George and was rushed to the hospital there to undergo more surgery due to complications. Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Huntington and Julia Turek visited Mrs Allen Huntington last week in the Kanab hospital where she had surgery on her throat. Elgen Sawyer is here after spending part of the winter in Salt Lake. He reports that Ruth is in Calif, visiting her daughter Dorothy for awhile. Friday Mrs. Gale Wilcock visited in Panguitch with the La-mond Davis', the three Davis children accompanied her home to visit until Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Wilcock, Norman and Alyce Henderson went to Cedar Thursday where they dined and attended a show in honor of Gai and Alyce's birthdays. , Evan Wilcock of Cedar was home for the weekend, Saturday he visited the John Mech-hams in Tropic. Sunday the Me-chams visited at the O. B. Huntington home. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Harrison of St. George visited here Friday, Dick was here again Monday, The Gilbert Clarks of Kanab spent the weekend here with her folks. Monday Mrs. Grant Dalton took Mrs. Clark to Cedar to visit the Gar Clarks and on business. Workers home for the weekend were Erick Barnhurst, Ed Turek and Larry Sawyer. Mrs. Hulda Spencer of MU Pleasant returned here from Escalante to visit her son and iamily, the Osmyn Deuels. Mrs. Wiley Huntington and Mrs. Calvin Wilson visited in St. George Wednesday and did temple work, Mrs. Huntington did temple work again Saturday and visited in Washington with the A. C. Nordells. Phil Burrows is employed on a truck line that trucks from i Salt Lake to Phoenix. Mrs. C. D. Campbell and Mrs. Philip Robertson visited in Cedar one day. Thursday Mrs. Campbell and Mrs. Gary Fagg visited in St. George. |
