Show or daughter. We send these reports re-ports out by mail and find that often times they are intercepted intercept-ed by students before getting 1o the homes. Consequently the parent is not informed of unsatisfactory work until reports re-ports are issued at the end of each quarter. We urge your discussing dis-cussing this very important aspect as-pect of reporting with your various students and encourage encour-age them to see that these reports re-ports do get home. We are near-mg near-mg mid-term of the first quarter quar-ter and within the next two weeks will be reporting unsatisfactory unsatis-factory progress to the homes. CORNER By Jessie E. Long This Friday, September 25. at 8:00 p.m. the Milford High Schccl Tigers will host the Beaver Bea-ver High School Beavers in a Region 8 football contest. We very strongly solicit the coop-eia'.ion coop-eia'.ion and support cf our Milford Mil-ford people at this game. We urge you to cooperate by sitting down in the west side bleachers, bleach-ers, and keeping the west sid2 ope.n so that our spectators in the bleachers can see the game. Last year we moved both team benches to the east side of the field so that it would be possible pos-sible to have easy vision for those on the west side. If you lik- to follow the ball up and dc '.-n the field, we suggest that yc.ul go to the east side, but remain re-main behind the snow fence. In order for Friday night's game to function as it should we need your cooperation in the above mentioned arrangements. Football officials for oui League games are assigned by the Region 8 Administration Organization working in cooperation coop-eration with the Southern Utah Officer's Association. These gentlemen try to do the very best job thay can do in officiating officiat-ing at these games, but being human, they are prone to make mistakes at times. It is impossible impos-sible at all times for the three officials to see all that happens when 22 ballplayers are going in so many different direction, Being a small High School we feel that three officials are all that we can afford and still maintain our present athletic program. Sportsmanship is a very important aspect of the athletic program from a team's standpoint, a student's standpoint stand-point and a coach's standpoint. A football game will be no better in the long run than all of us cooperating together can make it. The officials need your cooperation, and the school needs your cooperation. It has been a policy of Milford Mil-ford High School for several years to inform the parents concerning unsatisfactory scholastic schol-astic performances by their son |
