He will enter the MTC on May 17. Mandy and Brett Wayne Rollo of Huntsville had a baby girl on April 12, 2006. Christopher John Brady will return from the LDS Spain Bilboa mission on May 18. He will report on his mission on May 21, 2006 at 2:45 p.m. at the white church near Snowcrest Jr. High. First Holy Communion | Saint Florence Catholic Church First Holy Communion The celebration of First Holy Communion for St. Florence 2005 was held on May 7, 2006. The group received the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, a practice which dates back to the Last Supper when Jesus Christ shared his Last Supper with the Twelve Disciples. Father Cummins served the sacrament to each child after the instruction of prayers and lessons of Jesus Chris‘ Special thanks to Sue Hoffman, Father Cummins, and the other teachers who helped in making this celebration of the First Holy Communion for the boys and girls. Call 745-3048 or 644-1733 Henry F. Berg Henry F. Berg, 63, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2006 at McKay-Dee Hospital. He was born June 16, 1942 in Ogden, Utah to Harry Henry and Deola Bates Berg. OBITUARIES cont. on page 7 St. Fi lorence Catholic Community Arle NF OSDEN vAVALLEY “ian Mary Jane Sinner Gabardi died peacefully at home on April 20, 2006 in the company of the family she loved so ke much and who loved Mary Gabardi her without bound in return. She was loved and will be missed by the hundreds of people whose lives she touched, but mostly by those who called her mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. as born October 14, 1921 in Casselton, North Dakota to Leo N. and Bertha F. Sinner. She was raised and educated in North Dakota and Minnesota, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the College of St. Benedict. Upon graduation, Mary Jane joined the US Army at the end of World War II and was dispatched overseas, assigned to a unit in Nuremberg, Germany. There she was part of history, serving as a nurse at the war crimes prosecutions before the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg. She returned to the States and began her career in nursing at St. Benedict’s Hospital in Ogden. She remained a part of St. Benedict’s for periods covering more than 40 years, pausing to raise her family. In Ogden, she met and married Clarence D. “Gabe’ Gabardi in 1949. Together they raised four children. Gabe died in 1986 and Mary Jane carried on as the center of the family, the focal point for all our activities, holiday gatherings, and all the events we celebrated. Mary Jane is survived by those four children and their spouses and partners who will never forget her love and influence. e Jeff and his partner Paul Brooks of Washington, D.C.; Lisa Stracener and her husband Waid of Ogden; Mary Angela Elegante and her partner Natalie Avery of Salt Lake; and Tom and his wife Cynthia Stark also of Salt Lake. In addition to her children, she is survived by five of the greatest grandchildren anyone could have; Marco and Lucia Elegante, Alex and Natalie Stracener, and Gabriel Gabardi. She is survived by her brothers Tom and David Sinner of Casselton, North Dakota and their spouses Lois and Karen. There are also dozens of nieces and nephews who were fortunate enough to be able to call Mary Jane their aunt. Her parents Leo and Bertha Sinner preceded her in dea' The family thanks the staffs of both the McKay Dee Hospital and the Pineview Rehabilitation Care Facility for their support and professionalism. Additionally, we wish to express our appreciation to the caregivers who helped us so much during the last months of her life, particularly Wilma Montalvo and the loving staff at Applegate Hospice. And our acknowledgements wouldn’t be complete unless we recognized our very special friends Michele and Gary Kezior who were constant and loving companions at a time when they were most needet mass was celebrated in her honor at St. Florence’s Catholic Church in Huntsville, Utah on Wednesday, April Inurnment next to Gabe was at Aultorest Memorial Park.
