"Yet no one person has all these qualities," she said. "Only together can we achieve extraordinary results." Braden Hellewell, senior class historian, said though some might say his Mountain View class was the one lhat didn't bring home a state sports championship, classmates' talent, heart and loyalty to each other wouldn't soon be forgotten. "We are Mountain View and don't you forget it," he told graduates. " ... Together, we definitely have it all." Jacob Glenn, another of Mountain View's top academic students, admonished his classmates to not rest on their prep school laurels but to aspire to future greatness. "To say we have it all evokes contentment, ease, and perhaps even complacency," he said. The Bruin Class of 2007 motto "We don't have it altogether, but together we have it all" isn't so much an acknowledgment of achievements realized but of students' potential and possibilities throughout their lives. Academic speaker Hannah Bates shared personal experiences of her father helping her many late nights with her calculus homework, and the example of her mother's kindness and gratitude to others to illustrate the importance parents and mentors played in each graduate's success. "Thank you, parents, for teaching us and being the reason we're well equipped to enter the world," she said. Richard Clark, Mountain View's principal, said the class of 2007 was one of the most talented and best academic classes in many years. Seniors this year had the highest pass rate on all Advanced Placement tests taken ever, boasted four Sterling Scholar finalists and secured more than $1 million in college scholarships. His most memorable moment of the year was being present at a small church in New York City during a national choir competition as members of the school's A Cappella Choir left listeners spellbound after performing an impromptu piece. "All present that afternoon felt they were in the presence of an angelic choir from the heavens," Clark said.
