Show Orientation Takes Spot Light At Westminster . Special events for the annual orientation week at Westminster College included a square dance Monday evening on the upper tennis courts. Ice cream social, Student Lounge, 7:30 p.m.; September 17, registration, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. watermelon bust, 7 p.m.; Sept. 18, movie, campus lawn, 7 p.m.; Sept. 19, leave campus in afternoon for All-College picnic-at picnic-at Storm Mountain;, September 20, football game, Westminster vs Oregon Tech, Dane Hansen Stadium, 2 p.m., dance,' Student Lounge, 9 p.m.; September 21, Presidents and Dean's Reception, Re-ception, Ferry Hall Lounge, 8 until 9:30 p.m.; September 22, classes begin, 7:30 a.m. Eight new members of the faculty have been announced as follows: Full time - Hobart P. Sturm, political science; Yun-Kuang Huang, engineering; engineer-ing; Charles Wilford Johnson, geography; Ttomas H. Miller, mathematics; Dr. Barid Muk-herjee, Muk-herjee, biology, and Calvin V. Edlund, psychology. Part time - William P. Gogarty, chemistry, and Mrs. May L. McClelland, College Nurse and head of the school's health service. |
