Show Days Of '47 Leaders Meet Officers and directors of Days of '47, will hold their annual meeting Wednesday, Sept. 24 at noon in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers board room, it was announced by Joseph L. Chandler, Days of '47 president. Reports of 1958 activities, including a financial report of this year's pioneer celebration will be presented, Mr. Chandler Chand-ler said. Days of '47 directors for 1959 will be elected at the meeting, it was pointed out, so that preliminary plans might be laid in the near future for next July's celebration, which commemorated com-memorated the arrival of the Mormon pioneers in the Salt Lake Valley. Days of '47 executives are scouting now for new talent and new programs to be presented pre-sented next year, according to Mr. Chandler. "A,1 great increase of interest has been noted throughout the entire state in Days of '47 activities during the last few years", Mr. Chandler said. "In fact", he added, "each year more and more national attention at-tention is being focused upon our celebrations." |
