Show Red Cross Committee Make Final Appeal Appealing to the people of American Amer-ican Pork for support, the local unit of the Red Cross asks your assistance assist-ance in promoting this worthy project. proj-ect. The drive for membership has been in progress for several weeks, however, some of the districts have failed to report. During the coming weeks a representative rep-resentative will call at your home. They will appreciate your welcome and all the help you can give. Should you be missed, a call on any Red Cross committee member, at the home of Mrs. Dclbert Chipman, or Miss Lillie Shafter at The Style Shop and they will be glad to enroll en-roll you as a member. Mr. A. L. Schafer, Red Cross manager man-ager in the Pacific Area, has been calling on the governors and other state officials in the Pacific states for more help in saving lives in highway crashes. He will be in Salt Lake City tonight where he will make a public appearance, make an appeal for more caution on the public highways. He points out that during the last three years, highway accidents in the United States have killed 110,200 persons, have permanently perman-ently crippled hundreds of thousands and have injured millions.
