Show Jaycee Delegation Departs for State Convention A large delegation is leaving today for Salt Lake City to attend the annual state convention of the Junior Chamber of Commerce slated for May 4, 5 and 6 in the state capital. Big aim of the Cedar City group will be to get next year's convention to be held in Cedar City, and to elect Burns Slier-ratt, Slier-ratt, state vice president. Sher-ratt Sher-ratt has been president of the local lo-cal organization during the past year, and was the winner of the Distinguished Service Award. The Cedar City delegates will be pinning their hopes for the state convention next year on the location of Cedar City near to southern Utah's National parks, and the many facilities available here for such an affair. The record rec-ord of past conventions held here is also expected to help. Couples planning to attend the convention this week end are: Mr. and Mrs. Burns Sherratt, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Riddle, Mr. and Mis. Floyd Tucker, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Ashworth, Mr. and Mrs. George Burch, Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Dar-win Penney, Mr. and Mrs. Farrcll Peteison, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Cripps, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Hall, Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Olds, Mr. and Mrs. Maylin Maxfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Walt Larson. The latter two couples have moved from Cedar City but will attend the convention with the local group. |
