The reservists began work on the Ogden River Parkway this summer and expect to be involved in the project for the next three years. SMSgt. Jimmy D. Cosper, a heavy equipment and pavement specialist in the CES, helps direct the reservists' work and acts as a liaison between the 419th TFW and Ogden City. "The first phase of construction on the parkway-inot due to start until next year," Cosper said. "The 419th civil engineers are doing the prelimiwork so the city can get a head nary start on the project. "When the parkway is finally completed, at the end of 1994, there will be a park on the south side of the Ogden River from the mouth of Ogden Canyon west to Washington Boulevard in the city's downtown area." Cosper said the city's plans call for the parkway r to be built in three phases.
