The law says any member of the armed sen ices whose mobilization precluded him or her from participating in the hunting or fishing activity for w hich he or she bought the license, permit, certificate or tag may receive a refund from the Utah DWH. To qualify for the refund, the individual should notify the division no later than Dec. 31. The person should furnish proof to the DWK that he or she is a member of the armed services who was unable to participate in the hunting or fishing activity because of deployment in support of operations Desert Shield or Desert Storm. Those individuals who drew either a permit or a hunting permit requiring a mandatory waiting period will not be entitled to a refund, but they will be allowed to reapply for the same type of permit.
