The money is to apply on the county's share of the oiling of the Santaquin-Eureka road, a stretch of 5.6 miles, r The entire cost of the project is estimated at $23,000. According to the agreement made' with the state the county will bear the entire cost of preparing the roadbed as well as 20 per cent of the oiling cost, the state to furnish 74 pe'r cent. The cost of grading and graveling is expected to be 512,000. A delegation from Benjamin headed by Road Supervisor Edgar Lundell, Ben Davis, Tom Wride and Henry Lundell appeared to request road improvement on a stretch of two and a half miles in vicinity of Benjamin. The matter was left It Commissioner Charles H. White of Payson. Representatives of the Lake Shore "Cattle association, Joseph A. Francis and Archie Huff were promised an appropriation of $100 to defray part of the cost in getting get-ting the road into Lake Shore in a passable condition. Dr. F. E. SttVens, state agricultural agricul-tural inspector and J. M. McFcr-lane, McFcr-lane, from the same office met with j the commissioners in regard to the weed eradication program to be launched this year in the county. This matter was approved and referred re-ferred ta the county agricultural inspectors and County Agent W. ' J. Thaync. |
