Show HIGH SCHOOL . YEAR BOOK IS WORKOFART "L'Artistc" is the title of the 1929 year book o,f Springville high school, meaning "The Artist," and ' 1 is all that the name implies. The book is one of the moat attractive at-tractive bits of literature ever produced pro-duced at the local school, and is a credit to the institution. Beginning with the 'reproduction of an artist's palette, the theme of the book harmonizes throughout with the title. It carries reproductions reproduc-tions of all of the prize pictures of ' the art gallery, and is dedicated to Dr. George L. Smart, pioneer in the Springville art movement. - Individual pictures are shown of the senior and junior classes and group pictures of the other classes. Brief histories are given of both L. D. S. and Protestant seminaries. The latter being the only institution institu-tion of its kind in the state, it ia said. Fine reproductions of photographs photo-graphs of student body officers, members of the casts of the annuai play and opera, athletes, clubs, etc., are done in artistic fashion. Snapshots illustrating the year's calendar are an Interesting feature of the book. It is. also interesting to note that both of the 1929 prize pictures are reproduced. From a printing standpoint the book is well done. Much credit for its success is due to Miss Georgia Harmer, editor who was ably assisted by a group of associates. |
