Adventure activities including the summer Comet bobsled ride, three adventure courses, zip lines, alpine slide, and drop tower will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Sept. 4. Online ticket sales for summer Comet bobsled and Summer Gold passes were available starting May 12. For those who cannot wait for the summer fun at Utah Olympic Park, spring activities are open Tuesday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. through May 26. Spring activity offerings include the Summit Adventure Course, Canyon Adventure Course, Discovery Course and Drop Tower. Summer Comet Bobsled rides will be available daily from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. starting May 26 and running through Sept. 4. From Sept. 7-24, rides will be available from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday only. One of Utah Olympic Park’s most popular activities, extreme tubing, is back for another summer season. Take a ride down the landing hill of our Nordic ski jumps and enjoy the thrill of soaring like an Olympian, reaching speeds of up to 50 mph. Extreme tubing runs daily from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is included in the purchase of a Gold Pass. Individual tickets are $15 for small hills tubing (K20 and K40) and $20 for large hills tubing (K90 and K120). Public climbing is also back for another season beginning in June. Climbing will be available daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Sept. 4. The climbing wall is designed specifically for the Psicobloc Master Series competitions and features a multitude of routes with varied levels of difficulty. As you free climb up the wall, your only safety net is the deep water of the Spence Eccles Olympic Freestyle Pool. Climbing is included in the purchase of a Gold Pass. Climbing passes are $20 for adults and youth (includes shoe rental) and $15 for adults and youth without shoe rental. Season passes are also available. Seasonal adult climbing passes are $150 and seasonal youth passes are $100. Flying Ace All-Star Freestyle Shows will open for the summer season on June 25 with a halfhour freestyle performance that is sure to leave you breathless. From July 1 through September 3, freestyle shows will be held at 1 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday excluding Aug. 19. Tickets for freestyle shows will be included in the purchase of a Gold Pass. Individual tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for youth ages three to 12 and seniors over the age of 65. Ages two and under are free. The Alf Engen Ski Museum and Eccles 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Winter Games Museum are open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and admission is free. PCMR sets its winter dates Park City Base Area to open Nov. 17 Submitted by Park City Mountain On Thursday, Park City Mountain announced operating dates for the 2017-18 ski and snowboard season. The Park City Base Area is scheduled to open on Friday, Nov. 17, and the Canyons Village Base Area is scheduled to open on Wednesday, Nov. 22. Park City Mountain will close for the sea- son on Sunday, April 8, 2018. Last season, Park City Mountain enjoyed one of the snowiest winters in years with 455 inches of fresh powder at the Jupiter Snow Stake. With snow on the mind, now is the best time to start planning for next year’s ski season and once again, kids get to ski free at Park City Mountain through the Epic SchoolKids Utah program. Utah students in kindergarten through fifth grade can sign up for the free program online now and will get five free days of skiing or riding at Park City Mountain next season. Those already dreaming of fresh powder turns will find the best deal on a Park City ski vacation with the Epic Local Pass. Available now for $639, the Epic Local Pass offers direct-to-lift access and unlimited days of skiing with only 11 holiday restrictions at Park City Mountain. In addition to Park City skiing, the Local Pass also includes unlimited, unrestricted skiing or riding at Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado, with limited restrictions at Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood in Tahoe, and a total of 10 days at Vail, Beaver Creek, Stowe and Whistler Blackcomb.
