Show Impressive Services Held Mrs. Earl's Remains Laid to Rest Impressive funeral services were held in the Brlgham Young College chapel Sunday over the remains of Mrs. Fanny Cummlngs Earl. A large crowd of relatives and friends' attended attend-ed the services and accompanied the procession to the cemetery. The speakers who eulogized the life of the deceased were A.G. Barber, President Wm. Budge, President Isaao Smith and Bishop A. L. Skanchy. The temple tem-ple choir furnished beautiful music. A quartette sang and a solo by Frank , Baugh was rendered. Mrs. Earl was born In Farmlogton, Kennebec county, state of Maine, .September 23, 1835. Her parents died in Winter Quarters, leaving her an orphan at the age of nine years. She came the remainder of the way across the plains with the Hlnmau family, arriving In Salt Lake in the year 1848. Two years later she moved to Ogden and in 1853 she married Jacob S. Earl, also one of the original pionesrs. She has lived In Logan since 1808. During all this time she has been a faithful worker in the church of Jesus Christ, - patient and steady nurse among the poor and sick, and a devoted de-voted and loving mother to her large family. Her husbaqd, Jacob S. Earl, and eight children survive her. They are Mrs. S. S. Pond, Salt Lake; Mrs. fc Victor Crockett, Mrs. C. A". ,Cum-. mlngs, Mrs. C. F. Goodwin, Mis. F, W. Brock, and Frank, Jesse and Eddie Eart of Logan. |
