Angie Buckner, 11, was among several people who correctly identified iden-tified 14 Salt Lake City buildings from small photographs of segments of each building as part of the Historical Building Awareness Contest Con-test held in October and November. The correct entrants were entered in a drawing held Nov. 15 at the ZCMI Mall in Salt Lake City. Jeannie Richards, 10, in Buckner's Scout troop, won fifth prize, one night at the Sheraton Triad Hotel. There were 17 prizes awarded in the contest, which is in its first year. "We were really surprised by the prize," said Linda Buckner, Angie's mother. "We traded the trip in already and got tickets for New York City and Washington, D.C. Angie will be going on a travel-study trip with the Treasure Mountain Middle School next June. " |
