Alger Arnold, 87, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1993 in Orem, Utah, at the home of her daughter, Shirley Mangum. She was born Dec. 12, 1905 in Sun-nyside, Sun-nyside, Utah to Samuel Nelson and Ruth Elmina Pace Alger. She married Gomer Arnold Sept. 1, 1926 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They spent 60 years together in a wonderful marriage mar-riage before he died on Oct. 1, 1986. A faithful member of the LDS Church, she served in the Primary, Relief Society, and was a worker in the Provo Temple. Her life was devoted to her family and the church. She is survived by four sons: Gomer Junior (Mardell) Arnold, Clayton, California; Kyle (Marlene) Arnold, Alpine; Brent (JoAnn) Arnold, Oran-geville; Oran-geville; Barry (Carolyn) Arnold, Sandy; and four daughters; Shirley (James) Mangum, Orem; Yvonna (Lamar) Mortensen, Sandy; Sharon (Ernie) Andrizzi, Sandy; Myrleen (Ray) Sitterud, Orangeville; 33 grandchildren and 87 greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband: a son, Shefton D.; and a daughter, Marilyn (Ted) McCandless. Funeral services were held Dec. 10 at the Suncrest Stake Center, Orem. Burial in the Cleveland Cemetery, Cleveland, Utah. Anna Maria Burleigh Anna Maria Burleigh, 2-month-old infant of Charles Gardner and Jacqueline Jac-queline Myra Holzhouser Burleigh died Dec. 9, 1993 at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. ; She was born Sept. 22, 1993 in Orem. Udy Agnes Margaret Levine Udy, 85, of Orem, died Saturday, Dec. 11 1993 in Provo, Utah. She was born Jan. 14, 1908 in Sandy, Utah to Ivan Julius and Matilda Matil-da Anderson Levine. She married Ray Udy on Nov. 25, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She worked for Salt Lake Hardware for a number of years. She was an active member of the LDS Church, having served in all the auxiliaries. Withher sweetheart of 55 years, she traveled to many distant countries and throughout the U.S. She is survived by her husband Ray, Orem; daughters: Carolyn (Robert) Cowan, Sandy; Joyce (Bill) Adair, Moab; Barbara Wiley and Janice Stringham, Escondido, Calif.; 19 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a sister, Selma Larson; and a brother, Oscar Levine. He was born Jan. 31, 1898 at Kanosh, Utah, a son of Benjamin John and Eliza Paxton Roberts. He married Lyle Rasmussen Smith, Feb. 18, 1920 at Richfield, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. She died in 1978. He and his wife lived in Orem for over 40 years where they operated a fruit farm. He worked for Orem City as a building inspector until he retired. He wa3 a lifetime member of the Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Union. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, genealogy, and quilting. He loved poetry and music. He is survived by a daughter and her husband, Enid and Starr Brock-bank Brock-bank of Spanish Fork; a daughter-in-law, Ruby Warren of Ogden, 8 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 30 great-great-grandchildren; a brother and his wife, Snow and Neta Roberts of Price. She was born Dec. 1, 1957 in Provo, Utah to George J. and Mary June Cottrell Wilkins. Rhonda graduated from Orem High School. She married Val Hubbard Hub-bard on June 22, 1979 in the Provo LDS Temple. She was an active member mem-ber of the LDS Church and was ward librarian many times and was serving as a cub scout leader. She was currently cur-rently getting, more education and loved to sing and work in her garden. Rhonda is survived by her husband Val Hubbard; one daughter, Dorathy, and one son Douglas, all of Rowlette, Texas. She is also survived by her parents, George and Mary June Wilkins of Orem, Utah; three sisters, Ruth Marie Morris and Lois Ann Petersen, both of West Valley City, Utah; Elnora Ferrero of Murray, Utah; three brothers: Paul C. One of the Walker Family Plans to build a temple in the Dominican .Republic and the selection of a site for that temple were announced recently by the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The temple will be built in Santo Domingo and will serve the more than 70,000 members of the church in the Caribbean, the church officials said, adding that they will announce 'a construction start after architectural plans are completed and necessary governmental approvals have been received. There are 45 temples in operation opera-tion around the world. The Santo Domingo Dominican Republic Temple is one of ten other announced an-nounced temples either under construction or in the planning stages. Grant Watson White Grant Watson White, 93, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 1993 at his home in Provo where he and his wife have been cared for since he suffered a paralyzing stroke nine years ago. He was born Nov. 25, 1900 in Eureka, Utah, to John Watson White and Sarah Ann Burraston White. He married Elsie May Swenson in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Oct. 27, 1926. Survivors include his wife, two daughters and a daughter-in-law. He was the brother of Dell White of Orem. Kay Lindsay, board member and a judge in the 4th District Juvenile Court in Provo, is chair of the Provo-South group, and Robert Parsons, also a board member and professor of management manage-ment at BYU, is chair of the Orem-North council. In forming the councils, the board is bringing together representatives repre-sentatives from a diverse group of key community components, including in-cluding schools, local government, govern-ment, clergy, neighbors living near the hospitals, physicians, community agencies, the hospitals, hospi-tals, public health and business.
