Show each side of this are two red tulips with green stems. On the lower label, without the red line appear the words "THIS BEER IS ERKWED WITH ARTESIAN ARTE-SIAN V'ELL WATER FULLY PASTEURIZED INTERNAL REVENUE TAX PAID" in heavy black lettering. Within the red line appears the repre-senalion repre-senalion of a windmill in green and at each side thereof a red tulip with green stem. Superposed Super-posed upon the windmill in large bine, soript letters appears the name "Van Merritt" and underneath under-neath in blue block letters "BRAND BEER." In black lettering, let-tering, alove "Van Merritt." appears ap-pears "Reg. U. S. Pat. Off."; to the left of "V?n Merritt" are the words "CONTENTS 12 FLUID OUNCES" and below "Van Merritt" are the words: "BREWED "BREW-ED ACCORDING TO THE FORMULA FOR-MULA PREPARED BY AND WITH THE EXCLUSIVE PERMISSION PER-MISSION OF DE SLEUTEL BREWERY CO. LTD. EST. PRIOR TO A. D. 14.33 DORDRECHT, DOR-DRECHT, HOLLAND" and below be-low this in blue letters: "BREWED "BREW-ED AND BOTTLED BY BURLINGTON BUR-LINGTON BREWING CO., BURLINGTON, BUR-LINGTON, WIS. The essential feature of the trademark trade-mark is the combination of the name "Van Merritt," the name "De Sleutel," the windmill, the tulips, the monogram VM, the name Burlington Brewing Co." and the color scheme as shown and described and no claim is made to the descriptive or geographical geo-graphical verbiage which may be altered or omitted without affecting the character of the trade-mark. The trade-mark is applied to the beverages by lithographing litho-graphing the same on labels that are fastened to the bottles in which the beverages are sold and distributed. BURLINGTON BREWING CO.
