Jones, cormnissioner, is cooperating cooperat-ing in presenting courses in hygiene, hy-giene, health education and public health at the Utah State Agricul-turai Agricul-turai college summer session which begins June 12, Dr. J. H. Linford, director, has announced. Dr. Jones will have generlal supervision su-pervision of the course in hygiene and public health and will deliver de-liver a number of lectures. He received re-ceived his education at the Utah State Agricultural college. University Uni-versity of Colorado, University of Chicago, Harvard school of medicine medi-cine and Harvard school of public health. Dr. Jones has served on the resident staffs at Harvard and Cornell and after sx years as director of the Kentucky state board of health he came to the Utah State board of health where he has served during the past four .years. "Through the growng importance importan-ce of hygiene, health education and public health in the social and educational life of the nation, the college is offering a special summer sum-mer session program of courses in these fields. These courses are specially adapted to teachers, school administrators, social work-era, work-era, nurses, health officers, and parents," explained Dr. E. G. Carter, Car-ter, head of the department. The following board members will be on the summer session faculty : W. M. McKay, division of epidemiology; D. D. Oarr, division of dental hygiene; W. W, Bige-low, Bige-low, division of adult hygiene; E. M. Jeppson .division of child and maternal hygiene; Hazel Stevens, nutritionist; Mary McQuillen, public health nursing; Eva W. Ramsey, division of vital statistics; E. H. BramhaU, division of health laboratories; D. D. Houston, divi-: divi-: sion of public health education land L. M Thatcher, division of sanitary engineering. |
